Patient Corner

All rates listed on the website are a discounted price for patients paying in cash as I want everyone without insurance to be able to afford awesome care. Please text or email me if you have any questions at all.

What to do before your session:

1. Always eat before coming in. Acupuncture lowers blood sugar so it’s very important to have eaten a light meal at most 1 hour before each session.
2. Wear loose clothing to facilitate accessibility to points and to ensure your comfort through the session.
3. No alcohol or coffee before the session.
4. Download and fill out our intake form.

What to Expect at Your First Acupuncture Session

Your initial acupuncture visit is very important: it includes the consultation, acupuncture treatment and/or moxa, cupping and gua sha – depending on your specific needs.

I will take a detailed health history , and conduct an examination according to Chinese Medicine diagnostics, which includes tongue, pulse and facial diagnosis. These methods of examination allow me to design a treatment plan specific to you.

Your treatment plan will describe the imbalances I will be working with, a general time line for treatment and what kinds of treatment will be involved (ie, acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxa, gua sha).
You will receive an acupuncture treatment and may be prescribed an herbal formula, as well as diet and lifestyle suggestions.

Chinese Medicine requires your active participation to get the most out of your acupuncture session. You should be ready to stick to the plan and realize that there’s no “magical pill” in the holistic treatment of any conditions.
