Over 5000 years old, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine have been successfully used for the treatment of several ailments.

Acupuncture consists of the gentle insertion of very fine, single use, sterile needles into specific points on the body. There are hundreds of points, on over 12 acupuncture channels (Meridians) that are all over body, creating a fascinating web.

When there is a blockage of the flow of energy in any part of the meridians, there’s usually pain and some sort of imbalance. The use of acupuncture helps to correct this imbalance naturally and bring the body back to its natural state of health.

Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health as safe and non-invasive therapy.

Acupuncture can treat an amazing array of issues very efficiently.  I will list a few here, but as always, if you’re unsure of an issue, please ask me and we can talk about it.

Moxibustion is an essential part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is an adjunct therapy used for certain conditions. Moxa (Mugwart – Artemisia Vulgaris) is used to warm regions and acupuncture points with the intention of stimulating circulation through the points and inducing a smoother flow of blood and qi.
